Southlake Construction Services, Inc. is a full-service general contractor specializing in leasehold improvements and light commercial construction. Southlake offers an extensive range of services, including but not limited to - budgets, scheduling, and construction management. The professional staff at Southlake has the technical knowledge and management expertise to deal with routine as well as "crisis" situations involving clients.

Southlake appreciates and understand the client's need for a General Contractor who can handle every phase of a project, from preliminary bids to final close-out. The Southlake Team

Hiram Mojica, President/Owner

Hiram Mojica oversees the marketing and administrative functions at Southlake, while also serving as project manager for tenants and owners. A graduate from Hardin – Simmons University in Abilene, Texas, Mr. Mojica has over 25-years of experience in managing interior finishing and light commercial construction.

Mr. Mojica founded Southlake General Contractors in 1985. While focusing on the multiple phased interior and shell building finish out projects, Mr. Mojica thought the name Southlake General Contractors would fit the bill and the name exudes excellence and a class A construction project. Quality is Job #1 at Southlake General Contractors.

His knowledge of the bidding and negotiation process combined with his attention to detail and to the tenant’s needs brings a unique blending of professionalism and practical experience to the operations of Southlake Construction.

Gary Allen, Vice President of Operations/Project Manager

Gary Allen is a graduate of East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas, with a degree in industrial engineering, construction management, and a minor in computer/graphic science.  Mr. Allen has over twenty five years of experience in commercial ground up construction and interior finish-out, including projects for the United States government in this country and throughout Central America.

Gary’s responsibilities at Southlake include client consultation, business development, project estimating, scheduling, and managing, contract negotiations, & perpetual client relations to follow up on future projects. The past year’s completed projects include;

John Kappus, Director of Business Development

Mr. Kappus brings a refreshing new twist to marketing Southlake General Contractors through his long tenure of broker and property manager relationships. Mr. Kappus has leasing and management relationships in virtually every market in Dallas over the last twenty-six years of his commercial office-leasing career. He has been associated with thirty-five (35) project leasing assignments totaling approximately six million square feet. Mr. Kappus’ assignments include CBD high rises, suburban mid-rise, and suburban garden office buildings.

Mr. Kappus had taken his commercial real estate relationships to the commercial construction industry. The past sixteen years had seen relationships expand and grow into this construction related industry. Mr. Kappus believes that the very fiber of Southlake GC, Inc. is based on 5 simple provisions:

  • Know your job inside and out
  • Always communicate
  • Do what you say you are doing to do
  • If its not right, it’s wrong
  • Don’t try to sell it if you are not willing to buy it
